Questions Users Ask

  • Why should I register as a user of GeekHealth?
    • Registered users are able to sign up to receive free products as part of our product/service
review process. Additionally members can submit articles, and reviews of their own.
  • Is my personal information shared/sold to anyone else?
    • No, your personal information is only used by GeekHealth staff to find the best
matches for product reviewers. We value your privacy and to ensure your information
can not be stolen, we store all profile information in our private database.
  • I want to share information with others here, how do I do that?
    • There are many ways to contribute information to GeekHealth.org. Look here for more information.
  • Do I have to pay anything to become a product tester/reviewer?
    • No, GeekHealth.org does not charge members to be part of product reviews. We only
ask that you complete the review process following the guidelines we give you when
we send you a product. Those members who perform well during a review will be more
likely to be included in future review opportunities.
  • How will GeekHealth know I’m interested in reviewing products?
    • GeekHealth.org will send e-mail invites to members informing them of an available review.  Members can then respond if they are interested.
  • How can I become eligible to review more products?
    • Become active on the site, add some personal product reviews, or write some articles.  Also members who ask us to research a particular product are generally included in the review.
  • Is everyone on the GeekHealth staff a doctor or medical researcher?
    • No. We are people just like you, that are interested in helping others give and
receive health information that is accurate and usable. From time to time we may
be able to work with medical professionals but the information presented here is
not meant to help you diagnose or treat serious health problems on your own. If
you feel you have a serious health condition, please seek the assistance of a doctor.
  • I’m not a doctor, can I still write an article for the site?
    • Yes. Anyone can submit information in the form of an article or write a review on
a product your currently using or have used in the past.

Questions Businesses Ask

  • Why should we work with GeekHealth on a product review?
    • Working with GeekHealth.org to setup a full “GeekHealth.org Review” benefits
your company in many ways. Working with GeekHealth.org allows you to help identify
the best candidates to review your product. Also if you work with us, you will receive
a copy of the review before it is published to the website, this allows you to read
over it and add your own comments or information to the review before publication
      to the website.
  • I see GeekHealth does not charge businesses for their review services, this is different
from other sites. Why would GeekHealth.org essentially “work for free?”

    • GeekHealth.org performs this service for free in order to be an unbiased source
of information. Also by not charging for our services, small companies with good
products but little advertising capital can still work with us.
    • GeekHealth.org does accept donations through PayPal. Donations are welcomed but
will not ensure a favorable review. Reviews are done by individuals not GeekHealth.org
      staff.
